Those crazy car makers have been letting their hair down to present us with an array of April Fool’s Day fodder. We’ve handily collated all the gags and jokes that’ve landed in our intray today – and you can name and shame the best and worst in our CAR Magazine poll below. So read and weep – and then vote!
LUXURY car maker Bentley has pulled the wraps off its new racecar-inspired Continental GT3-R. Taking inspiration from the firm’s new GT3-spec competition machine, the GT3-R is said to blend high performance with Bentley’s trademark luxury approach to motoring. The GT3-R will be a rare beast, too.
THE IAM is calling for more information and advice on ‘smart’ motorways for drivers. The call comes after a poll conducted by the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) discovered that seventy-one per cent of drivers said they would feel less safe on a motorway with no hard shoulder than a motorway with one. One of the main concerns of respondents is the plan to increase the distance between safety refuges with forty-eight per cent believing that safety refuges should be no more than 500 yards apart.
